Tattoo Removal At Home
Decide on how you are going to take care of the tattoo. There are several different ways to do this safely, but to remove a tattoo with home remedies means that you will want to take the safest route--lightening cream. You can decide to use a cream specifically formulated for removing tattoos, such as Tat B Gone or Fade Away. Or, you can choose to just purchase the active ingredient from a drugstore -- a cream with at least 1 percent hydroquinone, a bleaching ingredient popularly sold under the names Black and White, SkinTx and Fade Gel.
Step - 1 Clean your tattoo well. If you are using a system such as Tat B Gone, there may be specific instructions for doing this. If not, be sure to use a gentle exfoliation scrub to get rid of dead skin cells over your tattoo area. This will allow the cream to penetrate into the tattoo more easily.
Step - 2 Apply the lightening cream to the tattoo area. Rub the cream in thoroughly, and wait until it is dry to put clothing over the tattoo area. If the tattoo is in an exposed area you do not need to cover it with a bandage or anything else.
Step - 3 Repeat Steps 1 and 2 as often as directed on your cream package. Tat B Gone and Fade Away have differing wait times before you can reapply. Drugstore quinolone will allow you to apply more frequently, usually due to a lower percentage of the active ingredient.
